#FilmFest: The Congress (2013)

I really like mixing live action with animations. The union might be neatly presented with cartoons/real characters overlapping or through implementing special techniques such as rotoscoping. rotoscoping. Who Framed Roger Rabbit, A Scanner Darkly or Cool World are just a few great examples how intricate the realm might be with vivid interactions, beautiful visuals yet heavily based on actors’ play. Another on my list to watch will be The Congress, a stunning animated feast by Ari Folman, who brought us Waltz with Bashir, a documentary focused on his experience as a 19-year-old soldier in the 1982 Lebanon War. Currently, the picture is fighting for the award for Best European Animation, whose winner will be announced in Berlin on December 7.
